I wanted to create a fully produced, cinematic spec shoot for a dream client. Janji fit the bill. We embraced motion, cinema aspect ratios (anamorphic widescreen and IMAX), and on camera flash at twilight. This is some of my favorite work to date. Showcasing what’s possible when you put a landscape and film photographer to a creative brief and execute stills like a movie set. Color science is at play here too, bringing in the iconic tie-dye that makes Janji stand-out. I’m proud to say this project was executed to my exact creative vision; emulsifying a lot of ideas I’ve had over the last decade of being a professional photographer.
